Below are some examples of our design work. We do get hired to do only design (where there is another company that is doing the build). Some of the sites will also have a "before" shot for comparison (if we remembered to grab one before it was built). Since we didn't build these sites, we have no idea how they ended up looking. Ccoding is truly an art that not all possess, so we're not linking to them. It makes us sad when a good design goes wrong in a build.
Pacific Combustion
This supplier of high-tech labratory equipment needed a way for their complicated inventory to be displayed smartly and sanely and increase their sales - yet still in a way appealing to their target market: Lab Technicians. This site was also a multi-page design project, since the client had special needs regarding the display of technical data. Here's what they had to say about our design:
"I think I am in love......you 100%, totally and without question, fixed the model number/chamber size/voltage/shipping weight problem. GO FOR IT. I don't just like it, I like it a lot !!"
USA Knobs
This distributor of high-quality drawer knobs and pulls needed their site design to step into the present. They had specific things that they needed to retain - things that they knew were successful, so we gave them a fresh look and still kept in place what had been successful for them.
CO (Crown Oaks) Arborists
This succsessful family-owned and operated tree-trimming company needed to reflect in their website the level of confidence and care they take in their jobs. The site had been done for them "By A Friend" and did nothing for their sales or image, except maybe detract from them. This is a much better presentation of what they are: a successful family-run company who takes great pride in their work.
Total Postcards, Inc.
We were asked for a high-impact, fun design for Total Postcards, Inc. and this was actually a project with 23 different page designs. We were tasked to design the entire process, from the Home page through the ordering process, to the Client administration area and all of the steps and pages in between. There were many combinations of "If you click this button, then you go here". With this type of design and flow homework, there is little room for error or guesswork in the build.
SCS Dynamics
Note: This design was to be built into a frameset (which we never like or recommend, for a variety of reasons) so that is the parameter we designed for.
Venue Lighting Effects
Duffweb was hired to design a site for lighting effects company Venue. This was a multiple design project where many products required different layouts, but had to remain uniform within the design.
